So I don't know how many of you get the newspaper, so you may or may not have seen this article. So I'll give you a general idea. Simply put, it's exactly what it is in the title of this post. We've cloned a pig. So now we have male piglets. But this is the thing, I was reading the newspaper, not going to tell you which one, but I want to make sure I don't get into any kind of trouble. So the newspaper that I'm talking about gets full credit. If you really need to know which newspaper, just send me a message and I'll send you an email or something to let you know which newspaper it was. I don't really think I'll get in trouble, but hey, better safe than sorry right?
So getting back on track... while I was reading this newspaper I noticed something. The article had a specific paragraph that made ponder.
"Seventeen cloned male piglets were born in three litters over the past six weeks. Seven were killed so autopsies could be conducted to rule out health problems. None were detected."
So seven of the seventeen cloned piggies were killed, and then autopsied to make sure they didn't die due to health problems... I figure that they meant that the pigs were killed and and then they autopsied them to see if any there were any problems with the pigs. But still... the way they put it "Seven were killed so autopsies could be conducted to rule out health problems." When I first read that, I thought, wait they killed them... then autopsied them... and found that they didn't die due to health problems... isn't that a bit obvious? That's like shooting someone in the head, then having them autopsied and saying: "Well it would appear that his death was caused by health problems", well unless you consider a bullet in your head a health problem. Obviously this wasn't what they meant but still let me make fun of them anyways!
On another note, I figure that I can use the newspaper to give me ideas for posts! But I guess that means I don't really have an excuse for not posting anymore...
