Acapulco

So this is now our first excursion! Yay, we made it to a port. Now we get to do more tourist-like activities. Although there was a draw back. One of our group which will from now on be referring to myself, my sisters and my sisters' roommate, were separated because the activity that we tried to get into, was full. So only three of us could go. My sisters' roommate was the one who ended up separating from the group to do snooba. Something like scuba diving. The rest of us went snorkeling. I have to say, the water was much colder and saltier than I had anticipated. Hey, don't judge me! I think it was the first time I've ever been in the sea! So how was I supposed to know! It's not like I went to the sea one day and jumped in and tried to drink some of the water, that's just weird and kinda gross. Anyways, the snorkeling wasn't too bad. It was my first time and it was pretty neat to see the fish in the water, though, it would've been better had the water been less... murky. You couldn't really see much. But still fun none the less. I didn't get any pictures of this unfortunately so you won't see anything for my trip to Acapulco.

After snorkeling for a little while, we went back to the boat for dinner and a little bit of rest. The reason I say a little bit of rest is because we had another excursion planned. We were going to go see the cliff divers. Sounds neat doesn't it! Well if you do end up going on a Carnival Cruise line and you go to Acapulco and they have this option for an excursion. I'd recommend going to the earlier one, which is also a tour of the city. If a tour in a little bus isn't your cup of tea, then just don't bother. To be honest, the one at night, isn't bad, it's kinda neat because there will be a guy that jumps off with only torches for lighting. But your sooooo far away, its hard to see anything. So bring binoculars if you go unless you don't want to see guys in speedos jumping off a cliff... in that case, just don't go on the excursion. Save your money! Before the actual cliff diving, they brought us to a little store where you could buy some neat things, but I didn't bother purchase anything. Nothing really caught my attention. But that's about it for Acapulco.

When leaving though, the city lights were very nice to look at when we were sailing away. And it was also pretty interesting to look forward from the bow of the boat. Which would be the front of the ship for those of you who don't know! Don't worry I'm not mocking you, until I searched it up on Google just now, I didn't know either! Anyways, when you looked forward from the bow of the ship, you saw nothing... it was just complete darkness. You couldn't even see the water. It was a little bit unsettling but whatever, can't do much about when you're on the boat. It was still neat though. Also, just in case I forgot to mention this, on Carnival Cruise lines, it would seem they always have ice cream dispensers on deck. So if you ever want ice cream or frozen yogurt, you can get it anytime you want! So about 90% of the time I was on the boat, I had an ice cream cone in my hand! Mmmm ice cream!

Day 6

So day 6 was also pretty boring. A few things sorta stand out in my memory though. One of those would be the quick half hour disco lesson I went to. It was pretty useless, well for me! I don't mean to brag or anything, but all of the moves they taught, well I already knew! Most of the time, I was just sitting on the deck with my sisters and that guy that my sister's room mate. And we mostly just read books while sitting on the deck catching some rays. The evening was enjoyable, the food was good and well, not much happened. We did go to see the show that the cruise had ready. If memory serves, there was a comedian. A kinda old lady, but funny none the less.

Sorry it took me a while to update my blog, I just don't seem to have the motivation to blog everyday. Which is bad. On the plus side though, I think I'll be able to post pictures of the trip once I'm done going over the actual trip. So you'll have to wait. Also I'll have to ask a friend how to post pictures :) No wait, I think I know how.

Day 5

So day 5 was the first day at sea. It was... apparently not very interesting as I can't remember much of it. This isn't the result of alcohol, because I didn't drink any while on the cruise... I don't think. Anyways, I think the day mostly included walking around the boat. The only thing that I really remember was the formal dinner. We got dressed up all fancy like, which I learned my cousin truly hates. Unlike me, for some strange reason I enjoy getting all dressed up in my suit and tie. I guess I'm weird. I think the dinner was lobster tail. Which was delicious and I also think that our waiter showed us a neat little magic trick involving moving an empty can of Coke from one cup to another without touching it. It was really neat and entertaining. After dinner I believe we went to a show were the cruise had dancers perform. And I think there was a comedian but I'm not sure. I don't really remember. I don't know why but the first day at sea is the only day that I can barely remember. It's a mystery.

On another note, my sister finally convinced me to get a copy of Rock Band. It's similar to Guitar Hero, except that they included a drummer and singer. It's not just guitar. It's pretty entertaining and I like it and all, but it was really expensive. Oddly enough, I don't actually play it that much. I don't really like playing alone, because it's just me standing in a room with the guitar, playing. I don't know why but I just don't like that... at all. But I'm fine playing my guitar (the real one) alone. Another mystery for you.

Day 4

So this day was the day that we would get on the boat and start the cruise! Oh man it was exciting! I'll be uploading pictures once I'm done with all of the days. Unfortunately for you, I'm not likely to upload pictures with myself in them or any people for that matter. Well I might change my mind. Anyways, so the boat was huge. Very big. It actually caught me by surprise! Moving on, we had to go through this security check, like an airport just a little less extensive, and then we got our passes to get on the boat. These passes were neat, because they acted as a charge card, room key card and a ID card to get on and off the boat for excursions. Unfortunately, we hit a problem, after we loaded our luggage and such so it could be put on the boat, we found out that my sister had left her passport in her bag. Which we needed to get onto the boat in the first place. So we had to wait for her bag to get to the room so that we could get her passport and then let her on the boat. The guy was kinda being a jerk about it though. First he was telling us that she needed her passport no exceptions, and then when we had the passport he didn't want to see it. We just told him we had the passport and someone was coming to show it to him. His response, it's ok, just get on the boat. I guess it wasn't that jerkish of him but still. It was annoying. So we were a bit worried about leaving her behind because of the luggage problem.

While waiting on the boat I did a little exploring. I found the gym that I never used, as well as the running track, which I didn't use. I also found a club for teenagers... I think it was ages 13-17. Club O2 it was called. I went in, and they didn't suspect I was older than 17. I don't know what to think about that one though. Also I found out where you can get ice cream 24/7. Delicious! I think I had at least one cone everyday! Then I looked around a bit more, found a club for people that are older than 18 only, as well as the casino, for 18 or older only. But I didn't feel like gambling... yet! Then came dinner time, we went to the dining room, and met our waiter and his assistant waiter! I've got to say, the staff on the cruise were most pleasant. Very nice people, almost always smiling! Some weren't but that's ok, I don't expect people to smile all the time. Anyways, the meal was delicious, I think I had,
