So lately I've been reading a book called Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. Though I may be a little wrong with the author ^_^
Anyways, so far, I have really enjoyed the book. It's somewhat dark, but that is to be expected when the main character is a serial killer. It's written in a first person type of style, so it's narrated by the main character, Dexter. I'm finding it to be pretty funny at some points. I'd recommend it, it's a good book.
Unfortunately, I haven't been reading it as much as I would like for some reason. Also, when I do end up reading it, I start after 11:00pm so that prooves to be a rather troublesome problem. With work the next morning and all. So I read get interested and then realize "CRAP! I have to go to work tomorrow morning..." So I go to sleep and the next morning... suprise... I'm tired. So I really need to do something about this little problem of mine.

Dinner with family!
Ok, so it's been awhile since I last posted, but I'm pretty sure everyone that actually reads this is aware that I currently am employed and earning some money. What you probably didn't know, is that I promised my parental units, and sisters dinner out. Which would be my treat! But the thing is, is that I promised that it would be with my first paycheck... unfortunately, my first paycheck was pitiful at best... especially with taxes. It's not that I don't get payed much at work, it's just the fact that I get paid twice a month, that being said, I started 2 days before the pay date. So essentially, I got payed for just 2 days of work... which wasn't enough for dinner at the restaurant that I had in mind.
Anyways, I was finally able to make good on my promise yesterday. I invited my sister and her companion, my parents and my other sister. The meal itself was delicious, conversation was enjoyable and we had some laughs, though some of them at the expense of other family members. I was made fun of at one point, my sisters decided that they would legally change my name to Miss Petunia Clairston. Or something along those lines... All in all it was an excellent evening.
Finally, we got the bill, which the waiter gave the bill to my dad. To which I had bet that they would give to him in the first place, since he appears to be the one that would most likely be the one paying. But that's beside the point. When I got the bill, oh man, it was a lot more than I was expecting. Well I was kinda half expecting that (don't ask what "kinda half expecting" is, I wouldn't be able to tell you) but still...
Still it was an awesome time!

Hatred: Crocs
Ok so just a little info about me first. I have a pair of crocs, I enjoy wearing them. I however, don't wear them out in public much. To me, they are a nice pair of shoes that I wear when I don't have socks on, and I want to go outside. It's quite convenient to be honest. They're very comfortable too.
But for some reason soooooo many people keep saying things like "I don't care if they're comfortable, you look like an idiot!". What I find most irritating about this statement is the fact that soooo many people try to dress in odd colors with weird hairstyles to be "original", yet the second they see you wearing whatever color of crocs, they judge you on your shoes... WTF!? The way I see it, wearing crocs is very similar to changing your hair color to something like, some sort of ugly color that I can't think of at the moment... maybe a really bright green. Anyways, when people see others with green hair some think, "Man, that guy/girl is so original" or something along the lines of a compliment. The only reason that I can think of for someone to change their hair color to something like that, is because they like the way it looks... who knows, maybe it makes them feel good. Which is the exact same thing with crocs.
I've looked on the internet and found discussions with titles like: "People that wear Crocs should have their feet cut off"... again... WTF?! No one in their right mind would say "anyone that dyes their hair color to some wild color deserves to be scalped" And I'm fairly certain that no one thinks that way either.
To be perfectly honest, I respect anyone that is comfortable enough with themselves to wear crocs. Especially since they're so damn comfortable. If someone walked up to me and called me an idiot for wearing crocs in public, the first thing I would do is nothing. I don't really care to be honest... "someone I don't know doesn't like my shoes!? OMG it's the end of... err... nothing. I guess I'll just have to find a way to deal with it... oh... look at that, I'm already over it."
To all the people that hate crocs and have a need to express that hatred:
We like crocs... deal with it!
To people that wear crocs because they're comfortable:
Good for you! Kudos on not letting those people get you down! But you don't need to show off your crocs...
Also, on another note, I'm pretty sure crocs are cheaper than sandals too. So it's cheap and comfortable. Although, they could look a little nicer...
Hm... I'd say I take a neutral stance on this Croc issue. I don't think they deserve to be destroyed or banned, but I do think there is a time and place for them as well. I'm pretty sure they were not meant to impress anyone... just meant to be comfortable.

I'm such a liar!
So remember in June when I said that I would try to post more often? Yeah, that hasn't been going too well. In fact, I had completely forgotten that I said I was going to do that. Anyways, once again I am on a break at work... and posting yet again. I really shouldn't be posting at a time like this. And I tell myself over and over again, you will work diligently all day! Yeah, I don't. It's awful.
