Summer is coming to an end...
Which means three things:
1. My contract with the company I'm working with is going to end by the end of the week. So I need to find a new job.
2. Everyone is returning to their respective schools out of town.
3. I have to get my upgrading done soon so I can possibly join said friends in University.
The Summer was awesome though I didn't really get to hang out with my friends as much as I would've liked. Understandably, everyone needed to work so they could have money to spend during the school semester. I'm going to miss work though... even though I did complain, I really did enjoy my time at work. I also enjoyed having spending money, that was nice, I won't lie.
To finish this post, I'd like to wish everyone the best of luck. More specifically, to my friends and their studies in University, my sister who will be starting her new career after finishing her University courses and my other sister who is living on her own and well, working too. Best of luck everyone!

Refurnishing
Ok so I may have spelt the title of today's post incorrectly but... I'm not exactly in a position to get a dictionary and look it up. Then again... I could also just type it here and then use spell check. Meh, I let it be wrong so that in future should I wish to use this as a topic title, I'll be able to use the proper spelling.
Ok so, yesterday evening I was discussing with my mom that I need to get new shelves and such for my room, as the small storage shelves for children, are getting... too small. I have more and more stuff piling on the floor in my room and, my mom being very picky about things being organized and clean, HATES it. So now, I'm going to get new shelves for my room, do some reorganizing of the room and even get a new desk, which will include more storage space, for my room. We looked through the IKEA catalogue for 2008 and I've picked out my new desk and a lamp to put on it!
Unfortunately, I've been told that these will be counted as my birthday presents from my parents... I know I should be grateful for getting anything at all... but still... a desk and a lamp... Happy Birthday?

Last Week T.T
Well, for the past few months I've been working in the office of a fairly small Oil and Gas Company. But now that summer is almost over, my contract will be ending soon. This means I have to find another job.
I must say though, I will miss this place. I really enjoyed working with these people and wish them the best. *Sigh* This also means that summer is almost over... back to school for my friends and I have... well work that needs to be done.
Can't wait 'till the summer of 2008!

Public Transit
Because of the fact that I don't have my drivers licence and don't have enough money to buy a car even if I had said licence, means that I have to use public transit to get from point A to point B. Well in my case it would be more like catch the bus to get from point A to Point B, then catch the train to get from point B to point C and then walk from point C to point D. Anyways, that's not what I wanted to talk about. What I wanted to talk about was things to do while on the bus/train.
One thing that I always do, is listen to my mp3, unless the batteries are dead. Then I am sad and don't listen to it. The other 3 things I can do are either, sleep, watch the scenerie through the window or watch the people on the train/bus. It's pretty interesting, especially the people that are falling asleep.
You watch them and you see their eyes are closed, and suddenly they start leaning in one direction, open their eyes and suddenly sit back up. The eyes slowly close and they start leaning again. I'm equally guilty of doing this, in fact, multiple times, I've found myself almost falling out of my seat... or just falling to the ground when I'm standing... apparently I can fall asleep standing... until I realize that I'm falling over then I wake up.
Also it's interesting too see the people that have a sleeping person leaning on them. I think it's funny. I am certain I don't do this. But it's interesting watching their expression change from a neutral one to an annoyed one when the person starts leaning on them. I've had people lean on me... in the odd case, it's not awful... because either you know the person well or the person is one that you deem to be very attractive... thus you don't mind. However, it's not very nice when it's someone you don't know or find particularily attractive and said person smells bad. Then you feel like jumping out the window or standing up just to get away. Well that's all for now about public transportation. Maybe more later...

The Snack for Studying!
Alright so for this post, I would really like for people to leave comments. The reason being that I would like your opinion on this as well.
Alright, as the title was intended to imply, I will be talking about snacks to eat while studying. And I would also like your opinion on which snack you think is likely the best to have when studying.
For me it would have to be Pocky! If you don't know what Pocky is, it is a cookie like stick dipped in some sort of cream. My personal favorite though very common, would be the Pocky that are dipped in chocolate. The reason I think this is a great snack while you study is there is no mess at all. Eating cookies makes crumbs and it makes a mess... eating chocolate is nice, but if you're like me, chocolate has a tendancy to melt in your hands, and quickly at that... so now you have melted chocolate on your hands. Now you have to clean your hands before you can start studying again. With Pocky, those to problems are gone! I don't know why, but crumbs don't seem to really be a problem with Pocky. Also the chocolate won't melt in your hands because there is a portion of the stick that isn't coated in chocolate. Also, they're just so convenient! You don't even need your hands to eat them, though a little tougher.
So what is your favorite snack to have when you study and why?

Radio Waves: The Battle of the Sexes
So if you remember, I said I was going to complain more about the radio in my last post. If you don't remember take a quick look at the post before this one... it's ok this post isn't going anywhere...
...
...
...
So I assume that was enough time for you to make that quick check. Anyways, moving on, I noticed something on the radio. And it was kinda bothering me. On VIBE 98.5 they have this little contest called "Battle of the Sexes". When I first heard it, I thought "I'm pretty sure I've heard this before. I was right! Every morning (not weekends) my parents will listen to Lite 96 another radio station. But they used to have a similar contest called "Battle of the Sexes" The two aren't very different but I'm pretty sure Lite 96 has been around alot longer than VIBE. But here are some things about them.
VIBE: -The intro to it is "Battle of the Sexes!" in a way that is slightly musical. The tune is similar to that "We will, we will rock you!"
-The contest usually involves the contestants simply listing something in ten seconds. An example being: list as many brands of beer in 10 seconds.
Lite 96: -The intro sounds more like one of those contest tv shows. It's still "Battle of the Sexes!" Kinda like the price is right but it doesn't really incorporate any tune. It just sounds like an audience saying it.
-They ask multiple choice questions in this one. Men get questions like, which percent of women say they [insert something women do] and vice versa for women. They get questions like, what percent of men, cheer while watching sports or something along those lines.
Either way, the way I see it, VIBE stole the idea from Lite 96! Either that or got permission from them to use the idea. Which leads me to say, VIBE SUCKS!!! But then again, that might be because I've been forced to listen to them all summer... ugh...
On another note, I think I'll start posting things that are not me complaining about something.

Radio Waves
During my time working in an office, I find that it's very nice to have something to listen to, other than your own thoughts of what tasks need to be done or the sound of you typing. So it's very pleasant to have a radio in your office. However, there is a downside to this. Eventually, you will get sick of the music a station plays. Actually, only some stations will do this. But it seems like they only play songs from a very small playlist of about 10-20 songs. You might think, well what's the problem that's plenty of variety isn't it? Well it isn't... not even close. Especially if it takes about 1 or 2 hours including adds to get through the songs and you listen to the station for about 8 hours. So if we go with 2 hours to hear them all, you'll hear the same song about 4 times in one day.
Now, you think about how many days you work. 5 days a week usually so that's 5 days of listening to the same songs over and over. So in one business week you've listened to the same songs 20 times. Now you think, you've been working for a few months now. And then if you're working and listening to the same radio station for years. Holy crap! You've been listening to the same songs for a very long time.
I don't know about any of you people that may be reading this, but I can't stand listening to the same song over and over again. Even if I really like the song, I will get sick of it if I hear it so many times. I have some more complaints about the radio but I'm going to save that for another post... maybe if I post tomorrow I'll talk about it.
