Alright so day 2! Well I didn't get up very early... so we didn't really do anything in the morning. So nothing interesting there. Well I can't say that, we went to fashion alley or something like that and went shopping. But if you don't find that kind of thing interesting then ya... nothing interesting there. The afternoon we went to a museum of an aircraft carrier. The Midway Museum! Yay! It was neat learning about the aircraft carrier, learning is fun! One of the things that I will always remember was the flight simulator. Not because it was something neat, but it was something that happened while in the simulator. So you would have 2 people in the simulator at the same time so my dad and I got in. We had the option of switching who the pilot was and the gunner. At first I was the pilot and we flew around trying to shoot down other planes but failed. Instead we got shot down once or twice, in which you would simply restart. Then we switched to my Dad as the pilot. At first it was similar to when I was piloting... but then he started flying downwards towards the ground for some reason... as you may have already guessed, we crashed into the ground. TWICE! He did the same thing twice! I couldn't help but laugh about that one. We also got shot down while he was the pilot... though I'm pretty sure that they didn't need to, since we would eventually fly into the ground anyways... The rest of the museum was incredibly interesting, I recommend you go see it if you're in the San Diego area.
The evening was better than the first! We weren't as tired so we decided to go for a walk and look for a restaurant to eat at. While we were walking we saw plenty of people doing the same thing as us or something similar. However, the only thing incredibly interesting about that evening was that when we were walking back to the hotel after dinner at TGI Fridays, very similar to places like Chili's, there was a homeless man asking for money. When my parents refused to whip out their wallets and give him money we were yelled at. But the interesting thing was what he yelled. He said, "GO BACK TO KOREA!!!". This leads me to ask, do I look like I'm from Korea? Why Korea? Why not China or Japan? Whatever. Then we returned to our room and proceeded to sleep. End of Day 2.
As for the quick note, today I went out with friends for a birthday thing. Technically I should say 2 birthday things since two people had a birthday on the same day. Anyways, late in the evening after a BBQ for lunch, hanging around, playing "Street Ball" or simply put Basketball and eating dinner at Pho So, we went to this place called Cafe Med. It is a sheesha bar which is something new to me. So I decided that I would try it out. What sheesha is, is a pipe like contraption in which you smoke something... I don't really know what it is, but my friends say it's good... now that I think about it, that's not really a good thing to say. Whatever! Moving on, the evening was enjoyable, but I'm not a huge fan of sheesha, I found I left with a headache and an odd but still very painful pressure behind my right eye. But none the less, an enjoyable evening. When I got back home and told my parents about my evening, my mom was very dissapointed with me. She seems to think that the sheesha bar is very similar to an opium den from the past China. She was telling me that those kinds of places are where people go to do drugs such as cocaine and smoke pot. She also seems to think that what is smoked in the place is dangerously addictive... I kinda have to disagree...
